Experienced Leasing Consultant

Job description

We are looking for an Experienced Leasing Consultant in the San Diego, CA area.

The ideal candidate will be as personable as they are organized, committed to growing our business and instilling a sense of confidence in our tenants.

As a leasing consultant you will be responsible for guiding our prospective tenants through the process of lease signing, you will ensure that agreements are executed accurately and on time, you will manage and lead property tours and work on growing our network of prospective tenants.

Requirements:

  • Six months of prior leasing experience is a MUST!
  • In-depth understanding of the real estate industry, including laws, policies and best practices.
  • Apartment Leasing/Fair Housing knowledge.
  • Friendly, energetic, great people skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills and phone etiquette.
  • In person sales skills and superb communication skills.
  • Above average computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Leasing Consultant Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Meeting potential renters and guiding them on tours of available units.
  • Following up with potential tenants.
  • Performing background checks, credit checks and other responsibilities to see if prospective renters are qualified and meet the property's regulations.
  • Preparing leasing documents for potential renters using property standards and regulations.
  • Keeping residents informed of any changes to rental agreements or upcoming property issues.
  • Building a rapport with current tenants to give them personalized service.
  • Keeping an eye on community facilities such as mailrooms, fitness centers and laundry rooms.

Property management software such as YARDI, CRM, MRI, ONESITE, POP CARD, or YIELDSTAR are a PLUS.
