Career Strategies is currently hiring a Leasing Consultant for a Tax Credit (LIHTC) apartment community in the Charlottesville, VA area. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic property management team and grow your career in affordable housing.

We’re looking for a professional who is energetic, customer-focused, and experienced in leasing—especially within affordable housing programs such as Tax Credit, Section 8, or bond-financed properties. 🔑 Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct property tours and lease apartments to prospective residents

• Handle incoming calls, emails, and follow-ups with a high level of customer service

• Maintain accurate resident and applicant records in compliance with LIHTC guidelines

• Assist with marketing and outreach efforts

• Support community events and resident engagement

• Coordinate with vendors and maintenance staff

• Complete daily administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and compliance paperwork

✅ Qualifications:

• Prior leasing experience is required (multifamily preferred)

• Tax Credit (LIHTC), Section 8, or affordable housing experience is highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing best practices

• Comfortable working weekends as part of a rotating schedule

• Professional appearance and exceptional communication skills

• High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask

• Tech-savvy: Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and leasing software
