Apartment Maintenance Technician - HVAC

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician with a certification in HVAC to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing make-ready units, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems of our residential apartment buildings. Your expertise will ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including repairs, installations, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting and appliance repairs.
  • Respond promptly to service requests and resident maintenance concerns.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner to ensure minimal disruption for residents.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service requests.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and seasonal inspections of systems.
  • Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members.

Requirements:

  • HVAC Certification is required.
  • Proven onsite work experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in apartment or residential settings.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair techniques.
  • Must have own set of personal hand tools and power drill.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various physical conditions.
  • Reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in plumbing, electrical work, or general maintenance.
  • Previous experience in apartment or multifamily maintenance of at least 1 year.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.

Starting pay range: $18.00-$21.00

Pay rate based on previous work experience, certifications, and qualifications. Ample room for growth.
