Position Title: Irrigation Technician & Porter/Groundskeeper
Location: North Phoenix, AZ

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Irrigation Technician and Porter/Groundskeeper to join our team at a residential apartment community in North Phoenix. The ideal candidates will be responsible for maintaining the property’s irrigation systems and ensuring the grounds and buildings are well-kept, contributing to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the community.

Irrigation Technician Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage across the property.

  • Inspect sprinkler heads, check for leaks, and perform necessary repairs.

  • Adjust controllers to optimize water distribution.

  • Maintain planters and landscaping features.

Porter/Groundskeeper Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the property's curb appeal by performing tasks such as light painting (small touch-ups and full unit repaints).

  • Regularly pick up trash and debris from common areas.

  • Power wash exterior surfaces, including building exteriors and pool decks.

  • Perform basic pool cleaning tasks such as skimming, aligning pool furniture, and maintaining pool areas.

  • Complete basic janitorial duties inside and outside the property.

  • Replace light bulbs in outdoor areas, including pathways and parking lots.

  • Clean and remove trash and old appliances from vacant apartments (trash-outs).

  • Deliver notices to residents' doors as directed by the Community Manager.

  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with additional property-related tasks as needed.

  • Comfortable working outdoors for the majority of the 8-hour workday.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in irrigation maintenance and groundskeeping is required.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and appealing environment.

  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Reliable transportation to and from work is required.

  • Must be punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with a lunch break.

  • No weekends or on-call duties.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $16.50 - $19.00, based on experience, certifications, and qualifications.

  • Weekly pay every Thursday.

  • Public transportation subsidy (up to $5/day reimbursement).

  • No weekend work required.

  • Convenient location with a 20-mile maximum commute.
