Property Compliance Specialist

Join our team and play a vital role in ensuring of our greater Phoenix-area properties meet all regulatory standards. As a Property Management Compliance Clerk, you will help maintain compliance with fair housing regulations while providing exceptional service to residents and staff.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local housing regulations, including Fair Housing laws and low-income housing tax credit guidelines.
  • Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized compliance records, lease agreements, and inspection reports.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing required documentation and addressing discrepancies.
  • Data Entry & Reporting: Accurately update compliance-related information in property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio) and prepare reports.
  • Communication: Provide excellent customer service and assist residents with compliance-related inquiries, ensuring all communications are compliant.
  • Regulatory Updates: Stay current on regulatory changes and assist in implementing necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Certification: Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Certified COS or HCCP Certification (required).
  • Certification: COS or HCCP Certification (required).
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with the general public.
  • Work Environment: Able to work in an office setting for extended periods.
  • Transportation: Must be able travel to various properties as needed.
  • Hours: Regular office hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility to adjust as necessary.
  • Personality: Professional, personable, and adaptable with a great attitude.
